🇲🇹 Summer Camps

Summer camps in Malta

Malta is summer in English with a Mediterranean flavour: lessons in the morning, turquoise sea in the afternoon and an international atmosphere on a small, sunny, safe island.

English in the morning, Mediterranean in the afternoon

There is a reason Malta has become a favourite of European families: it works. Mornings are for class — at schools with decades of English-teaching tradition — and afternoons are for the island: snorkelling in turquoise coves, kayaking, sailing, boat trips to the Blue Lagoon, walks through Valletta…

For a child or teenager, it is the gentlest way to discover that they can live in English: the language of the classroom is the same as the beach and the evening activities.

Close to home, far from routine

Malta is under three hours away, on the same time zone, same currency, no visas. For first-time parents — those who want to take the step, but with a safety net — that closeness changes everything.

Island felt too small? The term or school year in Malta exists and is wonderful. Next level of adventure? Ireland and the UK await.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Malta a good first-time destination?

It is THE first-time destination: close, EU (no visa), no time difference, familiar climate and a small island where everything is under control. If it goes well — and it usually does — next year they dare with Ireland or the UK.

Do you really learn English in Malta?

Yes, choosing well. Malta has long-standing, state-accredited English schools (ELT Council). I select programmes that mix nationalities in class and residence, and avoid the ones that become 'Spanish colonies' in August.

What do afternoons look like?

Sea and culture: snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, boat trips to Comino's Blue Lagoon, visits to Mdina and Valletta, evening events at the residence… That's where English gets used for real.

Residence or host family?

For first experiences and under-14s, a 24h-supervised residence reassures parents most. Host families offer deeper immersion for teens with some experience. I'll walk you through both.

What documents are needed?

Malta is EU: valid ID or passport, European health card and a minor authorisation. Transfers and airport pickup are handled by the programme.
